<p><font face="Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular">Andrew Lodge trained in traditional fine art portraiture with Leonard Boden (Royal Society of Portrait Painters), and added marine painting to his specialities, mainly due to his love of sailing.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular">His attitude to painting is influenced by the effect of light on the subject and the texture it reveals, as well as atmosphere, however fleeting. The idea is to 'take a moment' and put it on canvas so that the effect is of a brief pause in time.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular">Andrew accepts commissions including those for devotional subjects and reproductions of classical paintings.</font></p>
