Susan Hippe likes to work on a wide range of themes with stylistic versatility, strong colours and the expression of great vitality. Original themes and ideas are preferred, but also the use of more unusual material - either as technique or support - like cosmetic pads, coffee filters, pencil sharpener residue, plastic, quilt, textile, aluminium foil, balloons, etc. exploring the possibilities of the apparently banal objects of the consumer's world. Drawing, on a small or very large scale, is an essential means of expression which she likes to combine with mixed media/collage and the materials mentioned above.
