Art:

I love making art, music, films, poetry and performing poetry and music, screening films and exhibiting artwork.

My creative approach is intuitive - letting images and shapes reveal themselves on the canvas/paper in front of me. I also let chance provide images for my collages and then just play about with a large selection of cut-out images until a few of them click.

I also write automatic poetry and make films based on my poetry or on automatic scripts. With my photography I also allow each shot to reveal itself to me and can feel when its right.

I love humour in art and the rebel/free spirit of Surrealist and Dada techniques.

Inspirations: Travel, art, music, Surrealism and Dada.

Film:

Made 3 short films "Capoeira, Dance of The Diaspora", "Charles de Gaulle" and "Martinique" the last two of which I finally finished onto DVD in 2003. Worked as sound recordist on 4 shorts and one feature. Written 4 short film scripts 2 of which have been shortlisted for funding. Set up multi screen film projections for reggae/funk nightclubs in Central London.

Music:

Played bass and wrote songs for 1990's Brixton based funk band "President Groovestone".

Gigged in Galway with 3 piece group.

Poetry:

Written 1 anthology and performed live at Aldeburgh Poetry Festival open mic. and U.E.A. Student Union Poetry night.
